“Kingfisher”
“In December 2025, my mental health was on the decline. I felt stuck in the small town I live in. One day, I walked to the edge of town and, just before turning back, I caught a flash of bright blue light. After looking around for a while, I found out what it was: a stout little kingfisher. The feathers on its back shone like the wings of a blue morpho butterfly. I spent the rest of that afternoon by the creek, watching it dive for fish. That day, being in that small town didn’t seem so bad anymore”.
