“Park Valkenberg”
“Park Valkenberg lies near Breda Central Station and connects the station with the city centre. In the past, the park was a real forest, where cages were used to keep pigs. The people living in the nearby castle would hunt the pigs. Originally, the park was reserved for royalty living in the castle and their guests. Today, Park Valkenberg is open to everyone in Breda. It is a popular place for students to meet up with friends, while others come to have a picnic, relax, or spend time outdoors. The atmosphere of the park is relaxed, making it a fun meeting place for people in the city”.
