“Brabantse Gezelligheid”

“The best part about Brabant are the people. They are often kind, lively and love to have a good time with their friends and family. This is exactly what I wanted to portray and how I like to spend my own weekends. Whenever I bike through Den Bosch and the sun is out, the sound of people laughing and drinking echo through the streets, and it may be one of the biggest reasons for me to love that city. I wanted to capture that lively feeling in my painting by using a loose painting style and bright colors. Coming from Den Bosch, I had to include some references to Jeroen Bosch, the great absurdist painter from the 1400's. See if you can spot them! (and tell us in the comments)”.
