“Moeraschdraak”
“I've always been enamored by the mythical folklore surrounding the origins of Den Bosch, including the one behind the city's iconic name: "The Swamp Dragon". Both my parents came from this city and told us fantastical stories about the dragon swooping in to steal all the books in the world for his magical library. Since I adore fantasy & history, I wanted to combine these interests by drawing the swamp dragon in its' environment as he's holding his golden crest. I based his design on the beautiful art nouveau style fountain that graces the plaza just in front of the central station”.
