“Brabantse horizon”
“Brabant has the most beautiful sunsets, due to the flat landscape that characterizes the Netherlands. Here in Brabant, they are made even more beautiful. On the horizon in Brabant stands the Efteling with its beautiful skyline surrounded by nature. The Efteling plays a big role in my life and therefore had to be included in my “Brabantse horizon”. The nature in this painting was inspired by the Strijbeekse heide and the Loonse and Drunense duinen. Subtle details in the sky refer to a source of Brabant pride, Vincent van Gogh. Of course, the centuries-old coat of arms of Brabant could not be missing from this horizon”.
