"De Zeeridder"
"On top of the turret of the Markiezenhof, he stands guard: de Zeeridder. Half man, half fish. A mythical creature connected to land and sea, mythology and symbolism, history and imagination. He symbolizes the land of Bergen op Zoom and, at the same time, the water that is never far away in the westernmost part of North Brabant. Indirectly, the duality of de Zeeridder also represents our collaboration: felt combined with drawings".
