“Brabantse Blotebillenjurk”
“Ever heard of the official Dutch word ‘blotebillenjurk’ aka ‘barebottomdress’? If you have, you have world-famous lingerie designer (and Brabander) Marlies Dekkers to thank for that! A little girl from Oosterhout in Noord-Brabant with a fascination for pretty underwear, grew up to be one of the most influential lingerie designers in the world. Her mission is to inspire women to feel like the best versions of themselves, by framing their curves in her own unique way. Her graduation project from the St. Joost School of Art & Design in Breda back in 1991, was the perfect example of that. A dress where the butt is exposed! Today the dress belongs to the collection of the Rijksmuseum, where it's still exhibited on occasion”.
