“Gateway to the past”

“In the 80s, the Reeshof started as a Vinex neighborhood at the edge of Tilburg. Built on old farmlands from an old estate, it grew into one of the biggest parts of the city. While the residents of the Reeshof enjoy the tranquility in the area, other Tilburgers don’t embrace this district as a ‘real’ part of Tilburg because it lacks a rich past. While growing up in the Reeshof I often saw a gate in the park. This gate remembers the estate ‘Rey’s Hof, which is the inspiration for the name Reeshof and shows that the place does have a past that fits in the history of Brabant”.
